Using the app

How do I record and reverse a clip?

Tap the record button, speak or play your sound, tap stop, then tap Reverse. The reversed clip plays instantly and the waveform shows playback position. Recording, reversing, and playback are unlimited on the free tier — no account, no sign-up.

Can I import audio files instead of recording?

Yes. Use the import option to load an audio file from your phone — the same reverse, speed, pitch, and effect controls apply to imported clips. Common formats like MP3, WAV, and M4A are supported.

How do the effects work, and how many are free?

There are 10 effects: Loop, Echo, Reverb, Bass, Filter, Lo-Fi, Flanger, Wave Shaper, Robotize, Compressor. Tap one to apply it to the current clip and stack it with speed and pitch. The free tier includes 5 effect uses; Reverse Audio Pro makes all 10 unlimited.

What formats can I export?

Pro exports WAV, MP3, and M4A, and shares straight to other apps via the system share sheet. Free-tier clips stay playable in the app; upgrade any time to export a clip you already made.

Does the app work offline?

Yes. All processing — recording, reversing, speed, pitch, and effects — happens on the device, so the app works in airplane mode. A connection is only needed to download the app or make a purchase.

Purchases & billing

What does Reverse Audio Pro include?

Pro is a one-time $4.99 purchase in the app through the App Store or Google Play. It unlocks all 10 effects with unlimited uses, the full 0.25x–3.0x speed range, pitch ±12 semitones, WAV/MP3/M4A export and sharing, and removes ads.

How do I restore my purchase on a new phone?

Install the app, then tap Restore Purchases on the upgrade screen. Pro is tied to your Apple ID or Google account, so sign in with the same account you bought it with and it unlocks at no extra charge.

How do I restore Pro on a new iPhone?

Open the app, go to the Pro screen, and tap Restore Purchases. As long as you sign in with the same Apple ID that bought Pro, it unlocks again at no charge. A one-time purchase has nothing to cancel or renew.

How do I restore Pro on a new Android phone?

Open the app, go to the Pro screen, and tap Restore Purchases. Signed in with the same Google account that bought Pro, it re-unlocks for free. There is no subscription to cancel.

Web tool

Is the browser tool really private?

Yes. The free audio reverser processes everything inside your browser using the Web Audio API. Your audio is never uploaded to a server — close the tab and nothing remains anywhere. No account is required.

What formats does the browser tool accept?

Drop in MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, or WebM files, or record directly from your microphone. Reversed results download as WAV for free. For MP3/M4A export and the 10 effects, use the iPhone or Android app.

What are the browser tool limits?

Files up to 25 MB or 10 minutes, and microphone recordings up to 5 minutes. The limits keep processing fast on any device. The mobile app has no file caps and adds speed, pitch, and effects.

Privacy & data

Where do my recordings go?

Nowhere. Recordings are stored locally on your device and never transmitted. The app has no accounts, no audio upload, and no third-party ad SDKs. The full details are in the privacy policy at reverseaudioapp.com/privacy.

What data does the app collect about me?

No personal data. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple or Google — payment details never reach Frame Sixty Labs. There is nothing to delete server-side because nothing is stored server-side.
